Jet Harris didn't "leave" The Shadows. He was fired as he had a serious problem with alcohol and refused to accept treatment for that. Bruce Welch writes about this in his book "A Life in the Shadows".

Rockabilly music is great. It's 1950s music so why not just because the younger punky bands modernised it. The original rocknroll and rockabilly belongs to both Ted's and rockabilly styles. The program didn't have a clue about rockabilly and why it was called rockabilly where British rocknroll come from.
